McKenzey Kirby - VCE Middlesex Intern

Hey y’all my name is McKenzey Kirby, and I am the summer intern for both the Essex and Middlesex VCE office’s. I am a recent graduate of Virginia Tech with my B.S. in Animal and Poultry Sciences. I have a background in vegetable production, beef cattle production, and grain production. I grew-up on a farm in Hanover County and have worked in Veterinary Medicine for the past 4 years. For my internship this summer I am excited to learn more about the agronomy aspects of grain production, learn more about extension, meet and connect with local producers, and explore the aquaculture industry of the Middle Peninsula.
