All Virginia 4-H summer camps canceled due to COVID-19

To protect the health and well-being of 4-H campers and the general public, in-person Virginia 4-H summer camps, both residential and day, are canceled this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Anyone that has made a deposit or payment will receive a full refund. Campers and their families will be notified as we finalize the process.

The decision was made in alignment with Virginia Tech’s announcement that all summer classes must be conducted online instead of in person to help flatten the curve.

Registration is open for the 2020 Camping Season

Junior 4-H Summer Camp

July 6th - July 10th 2020

Ages-9-14

Campers must be 9 prior to September 30, 2020

This is a week long over night 4-H camping experience at the Jamestown 4-H Ed. Center in Williamsburg, VA. 4-H Junior camp has a  history of providing educational programming to thousands of youth anually through hands-on learning. The Junior 4-H Summer camp teaches youth to make their own decisions, solve problems and manage their resources without the help of others. The Junior 4-H camp is an opportunity for youth to learn, grow and make so many memories that last a lift time. Programs that youth can take during their stay at camp inclde but are not limited to the following: 

-Woodworking

-Archery

-Rilfery

-Creative Arts

-Wilderness Survival

-Water Sports 

-Swimming

4-H food Challenge Day Camp 

June 16th & 17th  2020

Ages: 9-16

Campers must be 9 prior to September 30, 2020

This is  two days full of cooking challenges. This camp  gives youth a chance to learn about food, nutrition, safty in the kitchen, proper handling of kitchen tools and appliences,  Proper handling of foods, all while making tasty meals! This camp will feature Food Network-Style competitions. The location of this camp is to be The Deltaville Community Center, located at: 17147 General puller HWy, Deltaville, VA 23043. Camp times will be from 8:30am to 3:30pm.

Cloverbud Day Camp

June 9th - 11th  2020

Ages: 5-8

Campers must be 5 prior to September 30, 2020

Cloverbud day Campers will experience three full days of fun, adventures, and making new friends. Campers will have themed activities, story time, outdoor play time and art time.  This is a great way for the Cloverbud age children to experince the 4-H way of life. The location for this camp is to be the Harmony Grove Baptist Church, located at:  7662 General Puller HWY, Locust Hill, VA 23092. Camp times will be from 8:30am to 4:30pm.
